The ASK-4® / 501 system is a way audio monitoring of an area which allows you to listen and talk to the TLM-W station which contains microphone an omnidirectional electret and a speaker 2.5 ".
The base station AP-1 has a built-TB to hear from the remote station speaker and also has audio input and output for recording and playback to a Digital Audio Recorder.
The base has a button pressing it allows you to communicate with the TLM-W, the person at the remote station can listen and talk hands-free.

Case Study: Audio Enhances Safety in Ebola Hospital Ward

2014 marked the year of the largest outbreak of Ebola– one of the deadliest diseases mankind has faced. When the World Health Organization categorized the epidemic as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern last August, hospitals across the United States acted quickly to increase safety measures. One hospital in New York was fast-tracked to set up a temporary Ebola ward, in case an Ebola patient who arrived at JFK Airport needed to be rushed over to their center. They needed to set up a system that would enable nurses to safely communicate with such a patient, as well as with anyone getting prepped to go into the patient’s room.

CEO Richard Brent Named 2014 SIA Committee Chair of the Year

The ASK-4® #501 is a single zone audio monitoring system for two-way audio. The TLM-W remote unit contains a Verifact® line level microphone and a 2.5" speaker, all within one housing. The AP1-TB desktop base unit produces live audio and playback functions. Talk from the base unit to remote speaker/microphone is engaged by toggling the "hold to talk" switch and speaking into the built-in microphone. A person at the remote speaker/microphone can listen and talk hands-free.
