Accessories for Radios: Scramblers

Series 400. Compatible with KENWOOD Scramblers.

The series 400 utilizes a simple inversion method of scrambling that is indecipherable by most casual listeners. The recovered voice quality is very clear and natural sounding. The SC20-400 operates continuously and is easily incorporated into radio systems that are susceptible to signal interruptions. This scrambler has potential application in voting or trunking systems or in situations where your channel is likely to be switched, handed-off or stepped on.

Series 410 / 416. Voice Privacy with Immediate Exportability / Upgradeable.

The series 410 offers mid-level voice privacy and is immediately exportable without a license to most any country worldwide. By changing codes once per second, the 410 transmits a signal which is indecipherable to most listeners. This unit is best for commercial and public safety applications where privacy is preferred, but is not critical to safe and confidential operations. The series 416 offers voice privacy technology that is immediately exportable to most international markets. Prior to upgrading, the 416 series offers medium voice privacy by hopping codes an average of once per second. With export license approval, international customers can simply purchase upgrade software to increase the scrambler's hop rate to 250 times per second (430) or even 1,000 times per second (460) for a greater level of security. Remote upgrades require using a Transcrypt TR30-3060 series modem, which enables security updates while the radios are in the field and operational.

Series 430. High Level Voice Security Solution.

The series 430 offers voice privacy protection against nearly all but the most determined and technically capable. By rapidly changing codes an average of 250 times per second, the series 430 transmits a signal that is indecipherable to most every listener. Even though the scrambled audio produced by the unit is unintelligible, the recovered voice is clear and natural sounding.

Series 460. The World’s Popular Choice for Voice Security.

The series 460 uses a high rate, non-predictive variable sweep plus hopping to provide security from the most determined listeners, especially when confidential communications are critical to operations. By rapidly changing the scrambling frequency, the 460 series transmits a signal that is unintelligible to both casual and sophisticated listeners.

Series DES. The Best Add-On Digital Security.

Transcrypt’s DES series uses sophisticated voice privacy technology to provide protection from the most determined and sophisticated adversaries. By encrypting digitized voice audio using a DES algorithm, the DES scrambler transmits encrypted voice, which is indecipherable by virtually all listeners. Although the audio produced by the module is unintelligible, the unique digital coding provides recovered voice audio that is far superior to typical digital encryption.

Series VOSEC. Digital Encryption.

Transcrypt brings your radio system digital cryptography and the ultimate level of security for analog radios. Transcrypt's proprietary VoSec technology protects your radio system from the most aggressive adversaries. It is ideal for government, military, and police use - especially in applications where privacy is absolutely critical to sensitive, tactical operations.

VoSec works by digitizing the voice and encrypting the resulting data with 128 bit encryption. VoSec provides excellent voice quality in poor environments and has a virtually imperceptible impact on the range of radio operation. Plus, VoSec has the benefit of continuous synchronization, and it has a mode which can communicate with Transcrypt's existing 460 series scramblers.

VoSec modules are now available for Motorola, Icom, Kenwood and Vertex radios.

ATR30-3061 MODEM. Programming.

If the efficient operation of your radio system is in question, Transcrypt's TR30-3060 Series is the answer to complete programming and management of your radio system. This compact modem/controller connects your radio system to a personal computer or ASCII terminal enabling you to manage an entire fleet of up to 61,440 radio IDs from a single keyboard. It is highly compatible with all types of radios, base stations, repeaters and control equipment, for both trunking and conventional systems.

Increase your efficiency with Over-the-Air-Reprogramming (OTAR) which allows system controls and ANI codes to be changed by remote commands, even while radios are in the field and operational. This equipment is also compatible with Transcrypt's user-friendly T-CAD software which enables dispatchers to easily log, monitor and manage the radio system using a custom spreadsheet format on a personal computer, so you can better track and control your operation. You can protect the integrity of your system if any radio is ever lost or stolen, disabling a radio using the stun feature, which prevents the radio from transmitting or receiving any messages.
